Advanced Diver Development Program

The SDI Advanced Diver Development Program was created to make truly “Advanced Divers”. Under the old way of training a student could take an Advanced Course right after an Open Water course and only have a total of 9 dives all under the direct training of an instructor.

Advanced Open Water Course

The Advanced Open Water certification is recognition of experienced divers through a distinctive certification. Once certified as an Advanced diver, you will be able to further your dive education to include Rescue and Master Scuba Diver/ Divemaster. To attain this certification, you need only log 25 dives and be certified in four specialties.

 CPROX Course

The CPROX course combines CPR and oxygen administration in a consistent set of priorities for emergency care.  You learn, at a layman’s level, the same emergency techniques used by doctors and paramedics. The CPROX course is Coast Guard approved.

These are among the many benefits of diving Nitrox — a mixture of nitrogen and oxygen in which the concentration of oxygen is greater than that found in air. You’ve no doubt heard of Nitrox, probably know divers who use it. You also know that using Nitrox safely requires special training and certification.
